ヒューマンライツ・ナウ（HRN）は、国連「ビジネスと人権」作業部会（Working Group）の委員を務める、Deakin大学（オーストラリア）のピチャモン・イェオファントン（Pichamon Yeophantong）教授をお迎えして、新年無料オープンウェビナーをお届けいたします。 ピチャモン・イェオファントン教授には、昨年11月に開催された国連フォーラムでの議論も踏まえ、人権DDの世界の動向の他、気候変動、救済メカニズム、人権擁護者、金融機関など2024年のBHR重要トピックスについてお話いただきます。

加えてHRNから先月公開した、最新の「人権DD（デュー・ディリジェンス）実施義務の法制化に関する アンケート調査結果報告書 ー回答企業・団体のうち7割が法制化に賛成ー」報告書をもとに、日本の企業・団体において人権DDの法制化を求める声が広がっていることもご紹介いたします。

Human Rights Now (HRN) Business and Human Rights Project is pleased to announce a special New Year’s webinar featuring Professor Pichamon Yeophantong from Deakin University in Australia, who serves as a member of the United Nations Working Group on Business and Human Rights. Professor Pichamon Yeophantong will discuss global developments in Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD) and key topics for 2024, including climate change, remediation mechanisms, human rights defenders, and financial institutions, based on the discussion at the UN Forum in the last November.
Additionally, HRN will provide insights based on the latest report released last month, “Report on a Survey on Legislative Implementation of a Human Rights Due Diligence Mandate”. The report reveals that 70% of the respondent companies and organizations are in favor of the legislative implementation of Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD) obligations. This highlights a growing consensus among Japanese companies and organizations in support of the legalization of HRDD.
