投資家は、ビジネスの当事者として国連「ビジネスと人権に関する指導原則」に則り人権に配慮する責任があります。特にコロナ渦による世界的な金融危機のなか、経済回復への支援だけでなく、人権尊重に基づく新しい制度構築に積極的に貢献しなければなりません。そうした中で、投資家が人権尊重に基づく新しい制度構築に積極的に貢献するための具体的な方法を提供するため、人権尊重における投資家の責任にフォーカスしたイニシアチブであるInvestor Alliance for Human Rights（the Alliance）は「人権のための投資家向けツールキット」を作成しました。認定NPO法人ヒューマンライツ・ナウはthe Allianceと共同で日本語訳を公開しました。
このツールキットは、機関投資家が自社の事業に関わるすべての人々の人権リスクを指導原則に則って評価し、人権を尊重したリスク管理システムを構築できるよう手引きする実践的なガイダンスですのでぜひ活用いただければと思います。ウェビナーでは、ツールキットの内容をはじめ、海外の投資家が責任ある投資をどう実践しているのかを紹介します。また、児童労働の撤廃と予防に取り組む国際協力NGO（ACE）からは、日本の市民社会目線で投資家と企業に求めることをお話いただきます。

Anita Dorett（Investor Alliance for Human Rights）
人々の基本的権利の尊重を基礎とした責任ある投資のための集団行動プラットフォームであるInvestor Alliance for Human Rightsのディレクター。この役職において、情報を提供し、投資家が人権を尊重する責任を促進するために投資家のためのプログラム、ツール、ガイダンスの開発を推進している。また、事業運営における人権リスクに対処するための企業参画において投資家を指導・支援するとともに、責任あるビジネスを可能にする環境づくりのための基準設定活動にも携わっています。ニューヨークのコロンビア大学でビジネスと人権をテーマに法学修士号を取得。25年にわたる企業弁護士としての経験を持ち、主にテクノロジーおよび通信業界において、グローバルなテクノロジー企業で国際的な役割やリーダーシップを発揮してきた。
Danielle Essink（ロべコ）
ロべコのアクティブ・オーナーシップ・チームのエンゲージメント・スペシャリスト。人権やサプライチェーンに関する企業との関わりを専門としている。特にICTと消費者向け製品に力を入れており、いくつかのPRI（責任投資原則）委員会のメンバーでもある。 2001年にRobecoで投資業界のキャリアをスタートさせ、2007年にアクティブ・オーナーシップ・チームに加わった。エラスムス・ロッテルダム大学で法学と経営学の修士号を取得しています。
岩附 由香（ACE 代表）
14～16歳まで米国ボストンで過ごし、桐朋女子高等学校卒業。上智大学在学中、米国留学から帰国途中に寄ったメキシコで物乞いする子どもに出会い、児童労働と教育を研究テーマに大阪大学大学院へ進学、国際公共政策修士号取得。在学中にカイラシュ・サティヤルティ氏（2014年ノーベル平和賞受賞）の呼びかけた「児童労働に反対するグローバルマーチ」をきっかけにACEを発足させる。その後、NGO、企業、国際機関への勤務やフリー通訳を経て、2007年よりACEの活動に専念。2017年アルゼンチンでの第4回児童労働世界会議では発表を行うなど、国内外のアドボカシー活動に力を入れている。夫と2人の娘の4人暮らし。著書「チェンジの扉～児童労働に向き合って気づいたこと」（2018年、集英社）、「わたし8歳、カカオ畑で働きつづけて。」（2007年、合同出版）。

Investors, as shareholders of companies, have a responsibility to respect human rights in accordance with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (the UNGPs). Especially in the midst of the global financial crisis caused by Covid-19, they must not only support economic recovery but also actively contribute to building new systems based on respect for human rights. In this context, the Investor Alliance for Human Rights (the Alliance), a collective action platform for responsible investment, has published the “Investor Toolkit for Human Rights” to provide concrete ways for investors to actively contribute to building new systems based on respect for human rights. Human Rights Now, a certified non-profit organization, has released a Japanese translation of the toolkit in cooperation with the Alliance.
This toolkit provides practical guidance to help institutional investors assess the human rights risks to all people posed by their investment activities in accordance with the UNGPs and build a risk management system that respects human rights. During the webinar, we will introduce the contents of the toolkit as well as how overseas investors are implementing responsible investment. In addition, the NGO for International Cooperation (ACE), which works on the elimination and prevention of child labor, will talk about what they are asking of investors and companies from the perspective of Japanese civil society.

Anita Dorett (Investor Alliance for Human Rights)
Anita Dorett is the Director of the Investor Alliance for Human Rights, a collective action platform for responsible investment that is grounded in respect for people’s fundamental rights. In this capacity, Anita drives the development of programs, tools and guidance for investors, to inform and advance their responsibility to respect human rights. Her work includes leading and supporting investors in corporate engagement to address human rights risks in business operations, as well as engaging in standard-setting activities to create an enabling environment for responsible business. Anita has a Master’s in Law from Columbia University, New York focused on Business and Human Rights. She brings with her 25 years of experience as a corporate attorney primarily in the technology and telecommunications industry, having worked in international and leadership roles with global technology companies.
Danielle Essink (Robeco)
Daniëlle Essink is Engagement Specialist in Robeco’s Active Ownership team. She specializes in engaging with companies on human rights and supply chain issues. She has a specific focus on the ICT and consumer discretionary sector and is a member of several PRI committees. Daniëlle joined the Active Ownership team in 2007. She started her career in the investment industry in 2001 at Robeco. She holds Master’s degrees in Law and Business Administration from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
Yuka Iwatsuki (ACE Representative)
Yuka Iwatsuki spent her childhood in Boston, U.S.A. from age 14 to 16, and graduated from Toho Girls’ High School. While a student at Sophia University, she encountered children begging in Mexico on her way back from studying abroad in the U.S. She entered Osaka University Graduate School of International Public Policy with a master’s degree in international public policy, focusing on child labor and education. While still a student, she launched ACE for the Global March Against Child Labor called by Kailash Satyarthi (2014 Nobel Peace Prize winner). After working for NGOs, firms, and international organizations, and as a freelance interpreter, she has dedicated herself to ACE’s work since 2007. She is focusing on national and international advocacy, including a presentation at the 4th World Conference on Child Labor in Argentina in 2017. She lives with her husband and two daughters. She is the author of “The Door of Change: What I realized after facing child labor” (2018, Shueisha) and “I am 8 years old and have been working in the cacao fields.” (2007, Godo Shuppan).
