Human Rights Now welcomes the United Nations General Assembly's decision to admit Palestine as a non member observer state, while objecting to Israel's retaliatory measures and opposition to Palestine's accession to the International Criminal Court. 

Resolution 67/19 was adopted by a majority vote in New York, on November 29th, 2012. Human Rights Now supports the Palestinian people's right to self determination and hopes that this will be the first step on the road to realizing the rule of law and bringing lasting peace and prosperity to the region.
