On 1 February 2007, Human Rights Now published a proposal on the revision of JBIC Guidelines for Confirmation of Environmental and Social Considerations in order to add human rights perspectives in the guidelines.
The proposal includes recommendations such as investigations of human rights situations in areas at which projects target and guarantee of basic rights of workers who work for projects related to Japan's ODA.
