[Report] Proposal on the planning process of country-by-country aid programs

Human Rights Now, together with other NGOs, made a proposal, calling for the Foreign Minister of Japan to hold consultations with Japanese and local NGOs in the planning process of country-by-country aid programs.

On 4 December 2006, at the Second Consultative Meeting with the Foreign Ministry, in the consequence of our proposal, the Ministry explained its decision to establish a scheme to hear opinions of NGOs in the process of aid program making. The scheme has started yet, however, Human Rights Now welcomes the Ministry's decision.
