Human Rights Now (HRN) has released a statement entitled "Overseas aid and investment to Burma (Myanmar) without principle inhibits the democratization and conflict resolution, and thus accelerates the human rights violations of minorities."

Released on October 25th, 2012, HRN outlines and details our concerns about overseas aid and investment in Burma, in particular, HRN believes it to be too early to expand investment from Japan and other Western countries without accelerating human rights violations or further complicating the ability to solve existing issues in Burma.
