Special Lecture of Palestinian Lawyer, Raji
Sourani

“Peace and Human Rights:From Gaza to the World”

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

From December 2008 to January 2009, the Israeli
military attacked the Gaza Strip. It is reported that more than 1,400 people died and
5,000 people wounded, including a number of women and children. The closure has been still imposed on Gaza by Israel and there has always been the supply shortage of daily
commodities for people in Gaza. Consequently, Gaza has remained destructed since the
Israeli attacks. Israel also has constructed a “Wall” inside the West
Bank, which fragments the West Bank and separates Israeli
illegal settlements from the rest of the West Bank, ignoring the UN
resolutions. Israeli government and military have constantly
violated human rights of Palestine people.

Human Rights Now invited a foremost human rights
lawyer of the Gaza Strip, Raji Sourani and will be hosting
Mr. Sourani’s special lecture on the human rights situation in Palestine for peace
of Palestine.
