Proposal Meeting Regarding Country by Country Aid Programs
Human Rights Now (HRN), together with several other NGOs, has produced a proposal, calling for the Foreign Minister of Japan to hold consultations with Japanese and local NGOs during the planning process of country by country aid programs.
On 4th December, 2006, at the Second Consultative Meeting with the Foreign Ministry on the consequences of our proposal, the Ministry explained its decision to establish a scheme to hear the opinions of NGOs in the process of aid program making. The scheme has not begun yet, however, HRN welcomes the Ministry’s decision.
