Japanese Translation of Joint letter Issued by the UN Special Rapporteurs Regarding Japan’s 2023 Revision of the Immigration Control Act

The Japanese translation of the joint letter dated April 18, 2023, issued by the Special Rapporteurs of the United Nations Human Rights Council to the Government of Japan, has been released. The letter is prepared by Felipe González Morales, Special Rapporteur on the Human Rights of Migrants; Matthew Gillett, Arbitrary Detention Working Group Vice Chair on Communications; and Nazila Ghanea, Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Religion or Belief, expressing concerns and calling for dialogue regarding the 2023 Immigration Law Amendment Bill.
