歩こう！走ろう！子どもたちのために 　ヒューマンライツ・ナウ主催

狭くて暗い坑道での危険な労働、事故が多発し、
ときに命を奪われる劣悪な環境―
まるで商品のように、国境を越えて売られていく子どもたち― 

インド北東部に位置するメガラヤ州では、約7万人の子ども達がネパールやバングラデシュから人身売買によって連れてこられて、炭鉱で働かせられている実態があります。安全措置の講じられていない炭鉱での危険な作業は、落盤による命の危険や、低酸素による呼吸器障害を引き起こすリスクと常に隣り合わせです。 ヒューマンライツ・ナウでは、同地域の炭鉱における児童労働・人身取引の実情を把握し、それを根絶するために政策提言とキャンペーンを行っています。

The situation of child labor in the northeast coal mines of India was investigated

The dark tunnels are an extremely dangerous working environment, where accidents are frequent, and in some cases, lives have been lost. As if they were products, the children are sold across the border for labor. In Meghalaya, located in the northeast part of India, an estimated 70,000 children have been trafficked from Bangladesh and Nepal to work in the coal mines.

2011年3月11日から1年にあたる今年3月、ヒューマンライツ・ナウでは、日本弁護士連合会、福島避難母子の会in 関東の皆様、ニューヨーク大学、ニューヨークの市民の方々、ピースボートUSなどと連携しながら、国連女性の地位委員会でのサイドイベントの開催、ニューヨーク大学での写真展や講演、ピースウォークへの参加など様々な活動を展開し、福島第一原発事故後の人権問題の解決を訴え、福島から避難した女性、子どもの声を国際社会に届ける活動を展開しました。 詳細はこちら

Delivering the voice of the Women and Children from Fukushima to the International Community

A year from March 11, 2011; this March, Human Rights Now, will appeal to resolve the human rights issue after the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear accident by supporting the Japan Federation of Bar Associations, everyone from Association of Mother and Child Fukushima evacuation in the Kanto region, New York University, the citizens of New York, the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women side event, the photo exhibitions lectures at New York University, Peace Walk, and cooperating with Peace Boat USA. The voice of the women and children that evacuated from Fukushima will be delivered to the international community with the participation of these groups and events.
