People are forced to live in fear of long-range missile and drone attacks, with tracking drone strikes in particular severely obstructing civilian evacuation and rescue.<\/p>\n<p>In occupied territories, grave human rights violations and war crimes persist, including the systematic and untraceable abduction of children, sexual violence, arbitrary detention, torture, forced imposition of Russian citizenship, and a ban on the Ukrainian language. In March 2026, the UN Commission of Inquiry verified over 1,200 cases of forcible child transfers and found that approximately 80% of these children have still not been returned.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, reports indicate that Russia is deploying foreign nationals and vulnerable migrants from Asia, Africa, and Latin America to the front lines. They are often recruited through deception, coercion, and false promises of employment or citizenship, raising grave concerns over their exploitation.<\/p>\n<p>We call on the international community to unite in strengthening initiatives for accountability for these violations and war crimes, and to intensify political and economic pressure to end Russia&#8217;s invasion.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>HRN submitted a video oral statement to the 62nd Human Rights Council session in Geneva on Ukraine which was aired on 3 July 2026.
