Several months<br \/>\nlater, an unidentified man reportedly visited her home and warned her, once<br \/>\nagain in the presence of her daughter, that she would face &#8220;dire consequences&#8221;<br \/>\nunless she withdrew her allegations. She filed a complaint about this incident<br \/>\nof intimidation on 3 June 2009 at Phoolbagan Police Station (Case No.<br \/>\n2220\/2009), but to date the authorities appear to have taken no action on the<br \/>\nmatter. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"tab-stops:28.0pt 56.0pt 84.0pt 112.0pt 140.0pt 168.0pt 196.0pt 224.0pt 252.0pt 280.0pt 308.0pt 336.0pt;\nmso-layout-grid-align:none;text-autospace:none\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"tab-stops:28.0pt 56.0pt 84.0pt 112.0pt 140.0pt 168.0pt 196.0pt 224.0pt 252.0pt 280.0pt 308.0pt 336.0pt;\nmso-layout-grid-align:none;text-autospace:none\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Further, Ms.<br \/>\nDutta states that she has been served by the police on several occasions with<br \/>\nnotices to appear at Entally Police Station, in violation of Section 160 of<br \/>\nIndia&#8217;s Criminal Procedure Code of India (which states that &#8220;no male under the<br \/>\nage of fifteen years or woman shall be required to attend at any place other<br \/>\nthan the place in which such male person or woman resides in respect to a<br \/>\npolice inquiry&#8221;). <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"tab-stops:28.0pt 56.0pt 84.0pt 112.0pt 140.0pt 168.0pt 196.0pt 224.0pt 252.0pt 280.0pt 308.0pt 336.0pt;\nmso-layout-grid-align:none;text-autospace:none\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"tab-stops:28.0pt 56.0pt 84.0pt 112.0pt 140.0pt 168.0pt 196.0pt 224.0pt 252.0pt 280.0pt 308.0pt 336.0pt;\nmso-layout-grid-align:none;text-autospace:none\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">We are deeply<br \/>\nconcerned that instead of conscientiously dealing with Ms. Dutta&#8217;s complaint<br \/>\nagainst Mr. Pati as they are required to do, the police appear to be focusing<br \/>\ntheir attention on intimidating Ms. Dutta and pressuring her to retract her<br \/>\nallegations.
