{"id":54,"date":"2006-12-04T14:34:09","date_gmt":"2006-12-04T05:34:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/test.hrn.or.jp\/?p=54"},"modified":"2023-10-25T09:44:30","modified_gmt":"2023-10-25T00:44:30","slug":"japan-aid-proposal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hrn.or.jp\/eng\/news\/2006\/12\/04\/japan-aid-proposal\/","title":{"rendered":"Proposal on planning process of country by country aid programs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Proposal Meeting Regarding Country by Country Aid Programs<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span>Human Rights Now (HRN), together with several other NGOs, has produced a proposal, calling for the Foreign Minister of Japan to hold consultations with Japanese and local NGOs during the planning process of country by country aid programs.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span>On 4<sup>th<\/sup> December, 2006, at the Second Consultative Meeting with the Foreign Ministry on the consequences of our proposal, the Ministry explained its decision to establish a scheme to hear the opinions of NGOs in the process of aid program making. The scheme has not begun yet, however, HRN welcomes the Ministry&#8217;s decision.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span>Please find details of the Second Consultative Meeting\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/hrn.or.jp\/eng\/activity\/oda_seikyo_06_2.pdf\">here<\/a> (Japanese only).
