HRN has a released a report on severe labor conditions at construction sites for the 2020 Olympic Games.<\/div>\n

For th<\/span>e<\/span>\u00a0report,\u00a0<\/span>we visited<\/span>\u00a0six construction sites\u00a0<\/span>and documented dangerously high temperatures, and\u00a0<\/span>we concluded that several major\u00a0<\/span>principles of the\u00a0<\/span>UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights<\/span>\u00a0have been ignored by authorities in charge of the construction, including that employers conduct due diligence, take measures to prevent harms, and implement an efficient complaint mechanism, as the current mechanism has major flaws that make it ineffective.
