Japanese Act on the Protection of Specially Designed Secrets)
Abe administration railroadedAct on the Protection of Specially Designed Secrets without protecting discussion at the Diet, and ignoring the strong statement of concern of UNHCHR and the Special Rapporteur of freedom. HRN appealed that this Act can violate freedom of expression, including the right to know and right freedom of press, and can place Japanese democracy at risk. HRN requested Japanese Government to respond the request, which inquire to submit the official English translation and constant discussion, from UNHCHRsincerely and quickly. In the opening statement, HRN stated that we give full endorsement to the suggestion that UN establishes “The Day of Japanese Sexual Slavery Victims.”
